Letter from the Chief


Dear Community Members,

I would like to thank the community for your support through these hard economic times. It is important that we all work together to keep Elmira Heights a safe community. We all know the negative impact cutbacks or consolidation could have on the safety of the community. The Elmira Heights Police Department has worked hard to make sure that costs are kept under control through grants and any means possible.

The members of this Police Department work very hard to make sure that the Village of Elmira Heights continues to be a safe place for every Village resident. We continue to attempt to deter criminals by having a high profile patrol. The most important thing in local law enforcement is that the police are there when you need them. The quick response time has proved to be vital in assisting victims of crimes and catching the perpetrators of those crimes. Criminals do not want to conduct business where there is an active police patrol.

It is our intention to provide the best Police protection in the area and make the department as efficient as possible.
