The Elmira Heights Renewal Agency (URA), administers Section 8 programs for the Village of Elmira Heights and the Town of Horseheads. Applications for Section 8 can be picked up at the Village Hall, 215 Elmwood Avenue between 8:00am and 4:00pm Monday through Friday.
Elmira Heights URA also administers various Federal and State programs. We are currently administrating a Housing Rehabilitation Grant awarded by New York State Governor’s Office for Small Cities. Through this award, grant money is available for Elmira Heights residents of owner-occupied homes to rehabilitate their home for such things as roofs, windows, electrical service, insulation, furnace, etc.
All participants of such Federal/State programs must meet all Federal/State requirements.
